New Metallica Single Hits the Airwaves
Saturday 08-23-2008 8:35pm ET
Well the day has finally come for the new Metallica single to hit the airwaves. It debuted on The Road Show with Tyson and Bones Thursday. The song is called, oddly enough, "The Day That Never Comes" and it KICKS ASS. A thousand times better than the garbage we got from "St. Anger". If you haven't heard it yet, make sure you tune in to the "Graveyard" this weekend, as I will be sure to roll it out for ya a few times. You won't be disappointed. I will get "Death Magnetic" the day it is released, whcih is a Friday, Sept. 12th, not the usual Tuesday release. Check back here for my review. Thanks for Rockin' out with me.
Favorite Bands - Decade by Decade
Friday 06-06-2008 1:46pm ET
I've been thinking alot lately about where I stand as a "True Rocker". During this time I figured the best way to figure that out would be to come with a list of my top five bands from each decade starting in the 60's and leading up to now. So, after a lot of thought, here goes nothing.

The 60's

5. The Doors
4. Cream
3. The Guess Who
2. The Rolling Stones
1. The Beatles

The 70's
5.
Boston
4.
Styx
3. Journey
2. Aerosmith
1. KISS

The 80's
5. Van Halen
4.
Bon Jovi
3.
Metallica
2. Motley Crue
1.
Dokken

The 90's
5. The Foo Fighters
4.
Soundgarden
3.
Red Hot Chili Peppers
2.
Stone Temple Pilots
1.
Alice In Chains

Now Rock
5.
Creed
4.
Nickelback
3.
System of a Down
2.
Godsmack
1.
Disturbed

So there you go, not scientific by any means, just what I like. Sorry no Zep or Floyd, it's not that I don't like them, just not in my top 5 that's all. Think about it some time and give it a try. It's not as easy as it looks. Of course there are tons of other bands that ROCK, but it would take a lifetime to list them all.
