Air Guitar anyone?

On the show tonight, we talked about the Air Guitar World Championships this past Friday.  The guy that won is American Hot Lixx Hulahan.  Here he is:

KISS ARMY!!
Tuesday 08-19-2008 9:46am ET
We've been talking lately about the big hoo-ha going on this coming Sunday.  Valley Harley Davidson is celebrating 105 years of Harley glory the only way they know how - by throwing a party.  The day starts at noon at the Bethlehem dealership - food, drinks, you name it.  7pm we'll move the whole thing down to the Heritage Port in Downtown Wheeling for a concert featuring local rockers Old Buddy Jack and Loud and Local alumnus Dogwood Tree.  Then - the centerpiece.  The original KISS ARMY tribute band takes the stage in full makeup, costumes, pyro, firebreathing, the whole deal.  I dug up some pictures of the band.....keep in mind this is the KISS ARMY band and not the real KISS - but who can tell the difference?

Metallica's "Death Magnetic" to drop in September
Monday 08-04-2008 10:31am ET
It was announced over the weekend that Metallica's new album "Death Magnetic" will be released on September 12th, 2008.  It's the follow-up to the oft-bashed "St. Anger" (you remember that one - bad drums and no guitar solos?).  They ditched Bob Rock for Rick Rubin (the guy responsible for rejuvinating the careers of the Chili Peppers, Johnny Cash, and others) as producer this time around, but it will take more than fancy production to make me forget the most recent Metallica.  "Death Magnetic" is supposedly a return to their "Ride The Lightning" days - fast, raw and a ton of solos.  Lets hope Rubin and the band give the fans the Metallica we love - and not "St. Anger" part-deux - because honestly, another bad album and this battleship is sunk.

Here's the album art
Earthquake Baby!
Wednesday 07-30-2008 11:24am ET
A 5.4 magnitude earthquake hit southern California early Tuesday morning, affecting literally DOZENS of people.  Damages include some broken windows and loose ceiling tiles.  Judge Judy was a bit shaken during the incident as well.

We don't have earthquakes around here.  Until we do, we'll have to settle for Jesco White.

Slipknot plans on revealing their new masks tonight.  Here's the news story from Roadrunner Records.  Apparently starting at midnight, you can check out the new masks at Spinner.com.

I talked a bit on the show about the Furries convention in Pittsburgh over the weekend.  Here's the news story.  You won't sleep tonight.
